Purina Difference

My "older " mares did really well on just a small amount of the Equine Senior along with their hay. They have kept their weight and even put on some weight this winter! I will definitly keep feeding it! The mare in the picture needed to gain some weight after being gone on lease. I needed to get her back into shape since she is now for sale. After just two months on the Equine Senior she looks and feels GREAT!! Thanks!!! (+) ...

We inherited an older tattooed race horse. This summer and last winter really took a toll on him. He is a massive horse, and he lost so much weight that he just looked awful! We started the Purina challenge and he started improving almost immediately. We give him a scoop of Purina senior in the mornings and hay twice a day compared to 2 or even 3 scoops of the other brands we tried. He was so listless when we started him on Purina, and now he is back to being his stubborn, outgoing self! He has pep and life back in his eyes now! He has gained weight and looks wonderful! I was worried we were going to loose him if this winter was as bad as this summer. Now, I know he'll be around for a long time to come! Thanks, Purina!!! (+)...

my challenge was with a old mare (Abbey) she is a Rattail Appaloosa which we rescued from certain death. i wish i could send pictures but are unable too. she was nothing but skin and bones when we got her, she also had a hoof injury that had not been taken care of. because she is older it was difficult to get her to gain weight but since being on Purina Equine Senior she has put weight on and her coat and eyes and attitude have improved. she is a pasture horse for my gelding Cowboy and she is his best friend they nap together in the stalls we have. unfortunatly we are not able to ride her due to the injury but my grandkids kids just love her because she is so gentle and huge, too. i just wish i could have seen her when she was younger i imagine she was once a very beautiful horse. but to me she still is beautiful........ I bought my horse from a place claiming to be a rescue. I paid $200 for a horse that was very underweight. I later found out she was being fed 1 time a day along with living in a small area with no access to grass or nutrient filled hay. It has been 6 months since I have had her and she is the greatest thing I could ever ask for. She has an awesome personality and is as healthy as can be. (+) ...

Poppi is a very special Appaloosa. 18 years young, he has been in my life since his first birthday. He was my 4-H project, the first horse I saddle broke, my show partner for 14 years, and so much more to so many others. Poppi is now on Purina Senior and he LOVES IT! He is maintaining his weight and nobody believes he is 18. This is even more amazing because in October of 2009, Poppi coliced and was at Tufts Hospital for over three weeks. After two surgeries and a lot of tender loving care, he came home to stall rest for four months and many more months of intensive care and physical therapy. Through the entire ordeal, Poppi never lost his spirit and fought his way back to health. He is now a lesson horse at our stable and is retired from the show ring, but he still loves the spotlight and being the center of attention! Poppi get his Purina Senior three times per day in small feedings mixed with warm water and bran mash so that he gets extra water in his diet as well. I really think that Purina had a hand in getting him better and back on the right track so he could heal the way he needed to. Thank you Purina! And Poppi thanks you too! (+) ...

i had tried other pelleted layer feed for my chickens but this is the first pellet they would actually eat. My egg production has increased and the hens look fat and happy. Really like the purena Layena feed (+)...

I was introduced to the Purina show feeds at the feed store by the owners. Since only having 2 show pigs this year, I decided to feed one pig on Purina and the other on a competitors feed to see if there was a difference. The pig which has been on the Purina feed has shown more gain, has had better skin and hair condition than the pig on competitors feed. The pig which has been on the Purina program also won Reserve Champion in his class, which was our best placing over a 6 year period. This was enough to convince me to continue feeding all my show pigs on the Purina Show Pig Program. (+) ...

Kelly (Van Twist) will be 33 in Feb 2012. I have owned her since she was a year old, actually she owns my heart. She is the Paint mare in The Western Horseman's Team Penning. In Jan 2011 she bowed the tendens in BOTH of her front legs. Lots of love, time, and doctoring along with Purina's Equine Sr. and she is back to bucking and galloping around the pasture again. This feed is so perfect for an older horse with its low carb formulation. There is one thing Kelly loves more than her Equine Sr.***bananas***! Thank you!
